My husband had a tumor removed from his spine several years ago and thankfully he can still walk but has permanent nerve damage in one of his legs. Because of this, he needs a cane for longer walks and needs to sit down quite often.
We could NEVER make it down there if it weren't for Disney and their castmembers giving him a disabled pass to get on the rides quicker. It would be out of the question 100% because sometimes those lines can be quite long and even with a fast pass, it would be tough if not close to impossible.
We stay at the Wilderness Lodge and we are always able to get a room close to the elevator which also helps.
Everyone is always so nice and helpful and w/o the care that we receive, those priceless trips would not be possible.
When I was a castmember at our local Disney store, I would always tell my guests, they will love Disney because it truly is magical but it is also very user friendly. In fact, we save all year to visit WDW and have gone 13 times in the last 15 years. We just came back a few weeks ago but are already talking about next year. Once again, those wonderful memories would never exist without the compassion we receive.
Thank you Walt Disney World from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for 13 years of pricelss memories. Your parks are literally a part of our family.
